Dr Tess Huynh

Dr Tess Huynh is a well respected cataract and refractive surgeon with a special interest in small incisional cataract surgery, Cornea and Anterior Segment Disease.

She is currently the Staff Specialist Corneal Consultant at Westmead Hospital.

After completing her degree at Sydney University , she carried out training at Concord Hospital, Liverpool Hospital, Westmead Hospital, NSW Private Hospital, St George Private Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital International (Melbourne), Western Hospital and The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital.

Dr Huynh has lectured extensively and published several articles in leading international ophthalmology journals.

Determined to deliver leading eye care to the wider community, Dr Huynh is an active volunteer worker in developing areas of need, including the Phillipines and Vietnam.

A firm believer in customising treatment to suit individual patient needs, she aims is to provide the majority of her patients with spectacle independence.

Focusing not only on a high level of surgical skill, Dr Huynh aims to foster patient confidence and emotional comfort with strong patient communication. She speaks fluently in both English and Vietnamese.
