Dr Tim Roberts specialises in cataract surgery and glaucoma.Â
Dr Roberts is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Royal North Shore Hospital, where he also heads the Glaucoma Unit and serves as Director of Training. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, has published many scientific papers and an academic thesis, and reviews scientific articles for numerous international peer reviewed medical journals. Dr Roberts holds several senior positions in the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists:
He also serves as a Scientific Assessor for the Northern Sydney Area Health Service Medical Research Ethics Committee. Dr Roberts has lectured widely on cataract surgery in Australia, South East Asia, UK and the USA and performed live surgery at international meetings. He has an interest in medical ethics and education and has been involved in field trips to teach ophthalmology throughout outback Australia and South East Asia, most recently with the Myanmar Eye Care programme. |
